For most people up to 5’8″, the standard size 660 mm (26") is ideal for everyday tasks like dressing, reaching from a chair, or working in the kitchen. If you’re over 5’10″ or often need to reach higher shelves, the longer size 810 mm (32") gives you that extra reach while avoiding unnecessary stretching or balancing.

I would have given this 5 stars but I have had a previous model with a curved trigger which I find is more handy for hooking over handles, chair backs etc. for storage

In the past 16 years, I have bought four helping hands and the one that I still use daily is the original one. I have a progressive handicap which causes me to use a four-wheeled rollator (Topro carbon fibre model currently) My helping hand hangs on the left handle by means of its ‘trigger’. It goes with me everywhere. In buying my latest helping hand, I thought that I would have a new replacement. Sadly, because of my lack of care, I did not notice the new one had a short ‘trigger’ that could not hang securely from my tollator’s handle. So, I cannot use it when I move about. The yellow hook like trigger is perfect for me.

Long-time user concerned about recent trigger change.

I have bought numerous long-handled reachers over the years, and the Helping Hand Company makes some of the best quality, usable aids available. Although I generally like the Gel handle version, I�ve rated it only 3 stars because of the unhelpful change made to the trigger. It used to be a hook shape�easy to reach with arthritic fingers and great for hanging up the aid. Now, it�s a straight trigger that just slides off shelves or banisters, so I end up having to find another Helping Hand to pick up my Helping Hand! Not great. Why was this design change made?

Just works, its my second one

This is a great pick-up handle. Long enough and accurate. It�s the second one I�ve bought because someone tried it and ended up keeping my old one.

Had one for years, glad to have another!

I had one of these for years, but during a house move, it went missing. So I purchased a replacement. The only issue with this new model is that there�s no way to hang it up. It seems they�ve straightened the trigger, which I used to hang the old one.
