Height Adjustable Padded Shower Stool with Handles

A wide, height adjustable shower stool with a soft cushioned pad and hand-hold cut-outs at each side, made for older people, anyone with limited mobility and people recovering from surgery. Choose this one over the swivel stool when comfort and something to hold on to matter more than a small footprint.

Why it works

• Padded, curved seat. The blue cushion pad takes the pressure off hips and tailbone during a longer wash, and drainage holes let water run straight through so the seat does not pool.
• Handles built in. Hand-hold cut-outs at each side give a secure grip when sitting down and standing up, and make the stool easy to lift in and out of the shower or bath.
• Wide 48 × 28 cm seat. Room to sit squarely rather than perch on the edge; suits larger users and anyone who wants more support than a round stool gives. Supports up to 165 kg (26 stone).
• Height adjustable, 33–51 cm. Push-button aluminium legs set the seat height in seconds, no tools, to suit the user and the depth of the shower tray or bath.
• Stable on wet floors. Four wide non-slip rubber feet grip tiles and shower trays. At 2.7 kg it lifts out one-handed and wipes clean with a damp cloth.

Who it is for

Anyone who finds standing in the shower tiring or unsafe: older people, disabled users, people with arthritis or balance problems, expectant mothers, and anyone home from hospital after a hip, knee or back operation. It suits walk-in showers, wet rooms, shower cubicles and many baths.
